Our committee works very hard to keep the club running. They run social evenings throughout the year (see calendar) and other events such as the Ice Breaker. This event invites players from around the country to join in a Petanque competition and is extremely popular. The main reason for its popularity is the superb home-made soup provided by Nutbrook members and efficiently run by Sharon, a great cook/chef in her own right.
They are always on the lookout for new projects and have recently added a large amount of gravel to piste 10 making a competitive surface many might find difficult to conquer.
The latest maintenance tackled is treating the sleepers by the pistes and adding non slip strips. Thanks to our volunteers for this and a great deal of work cutting back the undergrowth and trees surrounding the grounds.
